This is an short story about Adrian, an exclusive, high paid escort to discriminating clients. Adrian is also a student of the human psyche. If you can accept that a self-educated prostitute can help one of his clients, Dan, a deeply (psychologically and physically) scarred client find inner peace in two "sessions," you will also be able to buy this story. Where You Hurt the Most is told in a very formal voice and wraps up in a pretty bow. It is well written and its two MCs are intriguing characters but their story comes off as a bit cold and pat and the idea of sex used for psychic healing doesn't really work for me here.
