Whew, I was worried there...it took Prince Xavier so long to figure who his mysterious young "lady" really was. I mean, even his dog Milton had it figured out pretty quickly. When the MC is the only one not in on the secret they start looking a little foolish.
This started off as a really cute retelling of the Cinderella story with a fella, Eldon Cinder, as the 'Rella that the Prince falls for. What really bothered me was that Cinder had to transform (twice) into a woman (albeit for a short period of time) to make this work. This would have been a fresher and more impressive retelling without that unfortunate crutch.
